Two for Love

During my car time this afternoon, I was listening to a mix cd and two songs stood out.  Both of them approaching love but from different angles.  Probably not a bad way to approach it.  Here’s the goods.  Let me know which one you like better.  I’ll understand if it’s both 🙂

“Love of My Life”
— Carlos Santana and Dave Matthews

Where you are that’s where I want to be
And through your eyes all the things I want to see
And in the night you are my dream
You’re everything to me

You’re the love of my life
And the breath in my prayers
Take my hand lead me there
What I need is you here

I can’t forget the taste of your mouth
From your lips the heavens pour out
I can’t forget when we are one
With you alone I am free

Everyday every night, you alone
You’re the love of my life
Everyday, every night, you alone,
You’re the love of my life

We go dancing in the moonlight
With the starlight in your eyes
We go dancing till the sunrise
You and me we’re gonna dance, dance, dance

“Feelin’ Love”
By Paula Cole

You make me feel like a sticky pistol
Leaning into her stamen.
You make me feel like Mr. Sunshine himself.
You make me feel like splendor in the grass where we’re rolling
Dance with me baby
You make me feel like the Amazon’s running between my thighs.

You make me feel love. . .

You make me feel like a candy apple all red and horny
You make me feel like I want to be a dumb blonde
In a centerfold, the girl next door.
And I would open the door and I’d be all wet
With my tits soaking through this tiny little t-shirt that I’m wearing
And you would open the door and tie me up to the bed.

You make me feel love. . .

Lover, I don’t know who I am.
Am I Barry White – am I Isis?
Lover I’m laced with your unconscious,
I will be your Desdemona
(take your time)

You make me feel, ohhh
You make me feel, ahhh
You make me feel, oh, oh, ah, ah, oh, oh…
