In the Dungeon

I was in the dungeon
High above the world
No light, no sight
No water, thirsty for life

I felt you leaving
Wrapping up against
The brilliant summer sky
It was too much for you
It was too much for me

I mourned your loss
The second I knew of it
Trapped under the ice
No hope of respite
I could not get to you

For years I sat waiting
For your return, hoping
You would find your way
Back, in the end you
Wanted nothing of me
